Children Advocacy Center
Our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) provides an age appropriate and secure environment for child disclosures of sexual and physical abuse. Trained, professional staff work with the child so they may tell their story. The CAC coordinates a multi-disciplined team efforts in the investigation and prosecution of child sex and physical abuse cases. The CAC also works to provide or refer important follow-up services, such as counseling, for the child and other resources for non-offending family members.
The CAC is a community of caring people coming together to bring hope back to child victims of sexual and physical abuse. In 2010, CACs located throughout Louisiana provided services to over 4,000 children.
Project Celebration's CAC Program Director is a trained Forensic Interviewer and the center itself is a developing and accredited member of the National Children's Alliance (NCA) and Children's Advocacy Centers of Louisiana (CACLA).
